Living and working in the Highlands of Scotland I need a good set of tyres for winter conditions. Having previously used Nokian tyres in the UK and Finland I was well aware of their excellent grip and road holding in severe winter conditions. I have not been disappointed with these WR D4 tyres. Grip on ice and snow is quite remarkable and even on up hill tracks I have never been stopped. Wet weather grip is also excellent with good feel through the steering and a high resistance to aquaplaning. They are my tyre of choice and I will certainly buy these again when their set wears out.

Excellent grip when needed. Due to construction of these type of tyres, one should expect higher road noise and lower fuel economy. However as Winter starts to bite a gentler style of driving will compensate with better fuel economy. Will buy again.

This is the 3rd set of these tyres I've bought. When we turn over our leased vehicle we immediately change the tyres to these because they're so much better than what comes with the car. We can hit lots of standing water with only the tyres on one side of the car and it barely even pulls and does not hydroplane. With the OEM tyres it pulls and hydroplanes rather badly under the same circumstances. These tyres are one of the best deals going in my opinion.

Had these tyres 3x before, excellent tyres for winter. Highly recommend them.
