Nice stable tyre. They were fitted to the bike when I bought it and saw no reason to try anything different when it came time to replace the rear tyre
Nice profile, decent feedback, nice all rounder.
Bought this tyre to match the front that came with the bike. Had no previous experience of Continental Motorcycle tyres, but have been really surprised at the performance to price ratio. This tyre can be had for roughly half the price of the current all singing all dancing however it offers a lot more than the budget price suggests. Used on a 600cc bike with nearly 100bhp it performs well and whilst wet weather performance isn't up there with the market leading wet weather tyres it's not far off and whilst the Sunday bike has wet weather star tyres as standard it also has ABS so the older bike with the Conti's doesn't get ridden perhaps as hard in the wet due to this. Well happy and will prob buy again if they also give good mileage. The rear is showing some wear after nearly 2000 miles so expect to need replacing at around 5k, the front seems to wear a bit better but I'm not too heavy on the brakes. so next renewal time will prob need a set.
Tyre was faulty - unbalanced from manufacture - caused massive instability and a danger to myself as rider and consequently to other road users. Had tyre fitted / balanced 3 times to make sure it wasnt me or bike. Delti tyres totally unhelpful, insisted it wasnt tyre - i had to pay courier to send it back and they only re-imbursed me after 3 months and only for cheapest fitting cost. Tyre could have killed me. Never agian, and it has put me off bikes forever. Absolute fucking bastards Delti tyres.

Have just switched to continue road attack and they feel much better cornering and braking

Rear grip excellent. Works well when mixed with a different front tyre brand. Corners as if on rails. Aprillia Shiver 750 Gt 2010.
The tyre copes well with my riding style
Can't fault these tyres so never slip or drift mid corner wet or dry, replaced my. Dunlop sports smart which was a slipery tyre! Wouldn't use anything else again
It is a motorcycle not a car.

Fast road riding
These tyres were a revelation. All year round sporty road tyre - which perfectly matches the Street Triple. Plenty of dry summer grip and just on the quick side of neutral steering, but quick warm up and consistent grip in winter. Confident wet grip.

As a Bloodbiker I ride in all areas and in all weathers. I had learned before I started this that the Metzeler tyre was excellent in both wet and dry conditions. the effect is that you are always riding the same bike with the same performance characteristics - on previous bikes it felt that i was riding a different bike whenever it rained compared to when it was dry. On aa advanced skills training day, one of the instructors ran up to check what tyres I had fitted as he was surprised at the way my bike handled and could stop in shorter distances than most of the other bikes. On my main bike, this is now the fourth or fifth set I have fitted, and when I bought another bike, there was no doubt in what tyres I had fitted straight away, with these being the automatic choice for my daughter's bike too.

Using Metzler tyres on my bike gives me confidence whatever the weather. Too many other brands behave differently in the wet vs dry - it can be like having two different bikes on the same journey. You don't sacrifice longevity with the Metzler either, with 9-12,000 miles per set (15,000km+. That's better than some other brands.). Their latest compound seems to have gone back to what they used a few years ago and the grip quality has improved (it had been deteriating over the last couple of versions - still better than other makes, but not the same as they made 5-6 years ago. As I volunteer to deliver blood products, I'm out in all weathers, throughout the year, so the performance of my tyres is vitally important. the Meltzer's do deliver!
On my second set of Z8s, they don't fail to impress, good alround tyre

Bargain price , got to try out on a bike I've just rebuilt as a track day bike that I can use on the road , grip well ,cut up nice , don't seem to wear ?!?!
Sportec M3 don’t give me confidence in the slightest when wet. I’ve had the rear wheel spin out on me when opening up to overtake on motorways in the wet. I’m not a light person son the bike has a good load weight but breaking is very poor in the wet too.
Great tyre at a great price. Like glue on a blanket :)
Never liked the Pirelli's in the wet so tried these and got just a nice all round result. Not brilliant at anything but trustworthy in any weather.

I am in the older age category but still like riding enthusiastically. I live in the northern part of the UK with some brilliant twisty roads, usually well surfaced and reasonably quiet of traffic. These are the roads I like, where I can enjoy myself. Don't take all of the star ratings as accurate as some are not fully tested but they inspire trust and confidence. Also fitted to my VFR800
The front gives way under cornering with no warning. On at least two occasions under normal cornering and not heavy or fast, the tyre has lost grip. I was lucky to manage to keep the bile from dropping. i usually cover about 8000 - 1000 miles a year in all conditions. I used the RoadTec 01 in the past and they were a better all round tyre, the new SE seems to be lacking in feedback. I would use the RoadTec 01 again but not the SE.
20yrs riding experience. Have 3 bikes currently. Live in NE Scotland. Very confident dry riding fast where safe to do so but cautious in the Scottish wet slippy roads.
