A good all round tyre, bearing in mind it’s fitted to a low powered bike 65hp. Used enthusiastically mainly on tight twisty tarmaced single lane roads with a lot of braking, cornering and acceleration. Front almost worn out after 5k miles rear lasted 2.5k miles. The tyre looks good on this type of bike and works ok off road on reasonably hard dry tracks, not great on mud though. I prefer these tyres to metzeller Torrance tyres and will/have bought again.

great tyre for money.not tried in heavy rain.got these on front and rear, transformed turn in from original tyres, michelin anakees.

Front not stable at speed due to very narrow profile. Good miles:cost ratio tyre.

Great tyre, wear rate a little could be better, or should I knock off the throttle a bit more ?

Good tyres with an excellent ratio wear/grip. I´m very satisfyed after 17.000kms, both front and rear tyres still have rubber to burn (about 3k to 5k km)

Very positive Got a lot of people talking for an old bike they found it hard to keep up on windy roads

Front tyre tested. Tyre performs well on dry road and dry gravel trails. Performs ok on wet roads under steering and breaking .A lot better in this regards than the K60 I had on the front before. Tyre is not great on wet grass and slides easily and with little warning. The Tourance is hopeless under any form of mud and wet rock. I would consider this tyre a 90 on road 10 Off road tyre.
07.10.2018fromDS
Good tyre although the design is getting a bit old and there are newer models. Good dry and average wet grip. Average performance on gravel & shale. Its not a full off-road tyre. It is possible to fit the tubed version yourself with tyre levers although the sidewalls are very stiff.

Break away is progressive, wet weather breaking is very impressive, longevity and resistance to squaring off even on long journeys has made the tyre a great companion for the money. My only gripe is a lack of sensation nearer the limit of cornering grip. although due to the smooth breakaway, understeer is relatively recoverable. Not bad at all.
21.12.2010fromAllen
I am on my second pair, I think they provide great grip and ride quality. They feel much better than the BT45. They wear acceptably, around 9000 miles/14000 KM for rears double that for fronts. Judging from the other posts I guess they don't like German roads.

Tyres seem good so far with no sign of ware. Slight road noise over my last tyres but nothing serious. A good compromise between off and on road. Very competitive price.

Very good milege 16k km regional roads, country trails soft offroad, very good for dualsport, noisy when cornering. Grip is good, when it goes does not slip all the way. The front tyre could have a little more braking power on pawed road and back tyre could have softer compound on sides.
28.09.2015fromsteveR
This tyre last better than a TKC80 and in anything other than mud, are as good gripwise, at least on the rear! Wear suffers, even on a lightweight, with a laden bike in hotter conditions I found.
25.02.2015fromChris Gilbert
This tyre has given me lots of confidence on and off road. There is ample grip on the rough and gives a smooth safe feel on the road.

I bought the Pirelli Night Dragons in November 2020 to replace the original Harley Davidson American Dunlops, which had zero grip in the wet and were squared off. I live on the Isle of Wight, which has a mix of fast single carriageway roads, urban roads, and windy country lanes. The road surfaces are variable and often wet, muddy or leaf covered. As I'm not a stereotypical HD rider, I need a tyre to allow me to ride throughout the year and not just when it was dry and sunny. My mileage has been restricted due to the Covid lockdown but I have been riding more of late and feel much more confident with the Pirellis, albeit I have to remember I'm riding a behemoth of a bike which still slides over wet manhole covers etc. Overall a good purchase and I would recommend them to anyone seeking to replace their original HD tyres, and who isn't too bothered about not having the "HD" symbol on the sidewall!.
