My first tyre was recalled by Continental thru Delticom Tyres for a potential sidewall fault. The cost to fit the replacement tyre was £31.50 but Delticom only refunded me £11.60. I am out of pocket by £19.90 and Delticom will not refund this amount. The tyre is great but cannot recommend Delticom Tyres.

Find the tyre great. Perfect in the dry anyway. Haven't tested it too much in the wet but never noticed any slippage.

Had these on my r1200rt le the pair of Z6 Metzlers were fitted for a two up full lugage tour from England to Florence Italy 2500 miles round trip, motorway and all road types I was very happy with all aspects of these tyres performance and would recommend them without hesitation.
21.07.2020fromKeith
Due to Covid-19 not had a chance to do a real test. The commute to work has so far not thrown up any issues. When I purchased the bike it already had the Metzeler Roadtec Z6 tyres fitted, I did 11300km them, did not have any issues at all hence this purchase.
09.01.2019fromJohn King
Fitted new tyres for Trans Europe trip and experienced a wide range of driving conditions with confidence in these tyres throughout. From very hot temperatures on Italian Motorways, high rough surface on mountain passes in France, to wild windy and wet Scottish roads all with confidence at high medium and low speeds
27.09.2015fromDavid Mantle
Tyres need warming up properly for maximum effect. Has caught me out on a couple of occasions when not fully warmed. Otherwise a fair choice for the money but may not buy again unless cheap.

Predictable grip in the wet and dry. Seem to not wear quite as well compared to previous Bridgestones, but grip a bit better in the wet on my ‘98 GSX 750, I am not a GP rider but then again, this isn’t a ‘lightweight’ 500 twin either, when riding something like this, you have to mean it and don’t want to be let down by cheapo ‘India Rubber brands’ half way round a corner. These are far better than anything that was available when the bike was new as are all mainstream brands. So far, I can’t fault them. Generally speaking, really sticky tyres wear out quick on heavier bikes and long life tyres don’t grip. These seem to have dual compound characteristics??
14.08.2024fromPaul Knowles
Absolute perfection. These tyres inspire confidence! Superb handling and braking characteristics. The make my bike feel lighter and more agile. I run them 3psi higher than rated on my machine and they feel great. Very happy with the tyres and I’ll by them again and they have now become my go to tyre!

I would have given 10 out of 10 but this time the back tyre when got hot it felt like it was greecey and when you had to stop is felt like it wanted to slide I've always purchased this type make mitchell 2tc and i could not get a cheaper deal with the company. So next time I'll be looking around at your competitors I spoke to your department and I was informed. The price only drops when people purchase the tyres.
30.11.2022fromRobert Sprjngthorpe
Superb grip in all conditions and very predictable handling. Only negative is tyre life I'm near the wear limit with just under 4000 miles covered. Wear has been fairly even across the tyre though.

Not done many miles , but tyres seem to handle most road conditions .

Took a while to get used to them and had to change suspension settings to get a smoother transition from upright to lean. Good lean angles can be obtained. Slight tendency to push the front at decent lean angles but does give feedback when this happens.

As a Bloodbiker I ride in all areas and in all weathers. I had learned before I started this that the Metzeler tyre was excellent in both wet and dry conditions. the effect is that you are always riding the same bike with the same performance characteristics - on previous bikes it felt that i was riding a different bike whenever it rained compared to when it was dry. On aa advanced skills training day, one of the instructors ran up to check what tyres I had fitted as he was surprised at the way my bike handled and could stop in shorter distances than most of the other bikes. On my main bike, this is now the fourth or fifth set I have fitted, and when I bought another bike, there was no doubt in what tyres I had fitted straight away, with these being the automatic choice for my daughter's bike too.

Using Metzler tyres on my bike gives me confidence whatever the weather. Too many other brands behave differently in the wet vs dry - it can be like having two different bikes on the same journey. You don't sacrifice longevity with the Metzler either, with 9-12,000 miles per set (15,000km+. That's better than some other brands.). Their latest compound seems to have gone back to what they used a few years ago and the grip quality has improved (it had been deteriating over the last couple of versions - still better than other makes, but not the same as they made 5-6 years ago. As I volunteer to deliver blood products, I'm out in all weathers, throughout the year, so the performance of my tyres is vitally important. the Meltzer's do deliver!

These tyres were a revelation. All year round sporty road tyre - which perfectly matches the Street Triple. Plenty of dry summer grip and just on the quick side of neutral steering, but quick warm up and consistent grip in winter. Confident wet grip.
