Can't fault these tyres so never slip or drift mid corner wet or dry, replaced my. Dunlop sports smart which was a slipery tyre! Wouldn't use anything else again

Sportec M3 don’t give me confidence in the slightest when wet. I’ve had the rear wheel spin out on me when opening up to overtake on motorways in the wet. I’m not a light person son the bike has a good load weight but breaking is very poor in the wet too.

Had these on my r1200rt le the pair of Z6 Metzlers were fitted for a two up full lugage tour from England to Florence Italy 2500 miles round trip, motorway and all road types I was very happy with all aspects of these tyres performance and would recommend them without hesitation.

Due to Covid-19 not had a chance to do a real test. The commute to work has so far not thrown up any issues. When I purchased the bike it already had the Metzeler Roadtec Z6 tyres fitted, I did 11300km them, did not have any issues at all hence this purchase.

I had learned before I started this that the Metzeler tyre was excellent in both wet and dry conditions. the effect is that you are always riding the same bike with the same performance characteristics - on previous bikes it felt that i was riding a different bike whenever it rained compared to when it was dry. On aa advanced skills training day, one of the instructors ran up to check what tyres I had fitted as he was surprised at the way my bike handled and could stop in shorter distances than most of the other bikes. On my main bike, this is now the fourth or fifth set I have fitted, and when I bought another bike, there was no doubt in what tyres I had fitted straight away, with these being the automatic choice for my daughter's bike too.

Using Metzler tyres on my bike gives me confidence whatever the weather. Too many other brands behave differently in the wet vs dry - it can be like having two different bikes on the same journey. You don't sacrifice longevity with the Metzler either, with 9-12,000 miles per set (15,000km+. That's better than some other brands.). Their latest compound seems to have gone back to what they used a few years ago and the grip quality has improved (it had been deteriating over the last couple of versions - still better than other makes, but not the same as they made 5-6 years ago. As I volunteer to deliver blood products, I'm out in all weathers, throughout the year, so the performance of my tyres is vitally important. the Meltzer's do deliver!

Took a while to get used to them and had to change suspension settings to get a smoother transition from upright to lean. Good lean angles can be obtained. Slight tendency to push the front at decent lean angles but does give feedback when this happens.

In my experience as an Advanced Riding Instructor these tyres are fantastic whether making 'serious' progress, touring or popping into town. I have used PR3s and PR4s for many years due to their grip levels in all conditions and their high mileage.

Fitted Pilot Road 4s almost a year ago now and have done a lot of touring and commuting on them in all seasons. They've never let me down. Feel significantly more nimble than the previous Metzlers, dropping in quicker and almost popping from leaning one way to the other. Though to be fair the flat spot in the old ones probably made them feel worse than they would have done new.

Feel significantly more nimble than the previous Metzlers, dropping in quicker and almost popping from leaning one way to the other. Extremely good in dry conditions. A bit of a "twich" a couple of times round bends in the wet but quickly corrected. They are comfortable and good mileage ( these are my second set). Still cannot get rid of the last 1 inch chicken strip - never had these problem with the Pirelli Angel - I blame the profile :-) Very good tyres. Second pair so far... no more to say

I’ve ridden on many tyres but I thought I’d spend a bit more and get the Michelin road 5, I first went out when it was pouring with rain and I was astounded! The level of grip was unbelievable, the lean angle you can get was incredible, just like riding in the dry, I’m always hard on the brakes (comes from track racing) and believe me you can get the back wheel off the floor in the wet, don’t just whack them on the let the suspension compress first. I’ve ridden on many tyres but I thought I’d spend a bit more and get the Michelin road 5, I first went out when it was pouring with rain and I was astounded! after the previous set that was metzeler roadtec 01 I have return to Michelin Pilot road 5 because they last a bit longer even though I've spent extra £50 . excellent tyre

Extremely good in dry conditions. A bit of a "twich" a couple of times round bends in the wet but quickly corrected. They are comfortable and good mileage ( these are my second set). Still cannot get rid of the last 1 inch chicken strip - never had these problem with the Pirelli Angel - I blame the profile :-) Very good tyres. Second pair so far... no more to say
