great for the price but not as good ice/snow traction as pricier tires. Can't be beat value wise

I have used a number of tire models on Chrysler and Honda minivans. Blizzak WS-15 and WS-50 were both excellent in our winter conditions in Vermont. The Blizzak REVO1's that I next used were not so good overall: while decent on ice and packed snow, they were terrible in soft or wet snow, probably because the tread blocks are much more closely spaced than the older WS-15 and WS-50. The current Blizzaks have a similar block spacing to the REVO1's, which I didn't trust. The Altimax Arctic has a tread pattern more similar to the older Blizzaks, which is why I chose them. I have not been disappointed.

This is my third set on my third car. Used without studs for the first time. Not as good on ice but still twice as good as all seasons

Unbeatable winter tire, not only for the price, but in general. Would not buy other brand or model winter tire until these are made and sold.
