    So noisy sounds like wheel bearings. When you brake the vibration comes up through the brake pedal and steering wheel. I was so concerned about the noise I took the car to my garage to get it checked out. They confirmed it was the tyres causing the noise, not the bearings. On the plus side they do have exceptional grip, and were reasonably priced. Maybe on another vehicle, perhaps front wheel drive they might be OK
