These tires certainly have proven to be the best 14s you can buy. They have me amazed. I payed $61 each on Tires-Easy, they absolutely destroy my BridgeStone Potenzas I spent nearly twice as much for last year. My car was shaking a little, even after a balance with the Potenzas, the Federals have my car feeling brand new. The handling on my car is now extremely predictable. The sidewalls are stiff (but not so stiff that I feel my spine is going to be impacted). They grip when I want and slide when I want. A corner I normally would have rolled my sidewalls and started sliding on at 45 mph in my Potenzas I can now take at nearly 70 before I break traction. These tires made my car much easier to control, I don't have power steering and the wheel is easier to turn. ALSO I find they have less rolling resistance than my Potenzas because I feel like I am not putting my foot down as hard on the highway to maintain speed. (Gas mileage increase is questionable, I don't have a working speedo, so I have no idea if I actually got an increase, but engine noise has certainly been reduced. I can't say enough good things about them. These are probably the most aggressively treaded 14s you're going to find that you won't die in the rain with. ALSO they make LOTS of smoke, which is sweet on drift day. The only thing 'worse' than my Potenzas is that they are slightly noisier in comparison, but BARELY. I might just notice it since my motor isn't trying as hard with these tires. Even so, the slight increase in noise is completely forgivable since these tires are the best I've ever had on my Corolla (AND the cheapest!).
