Comment:
When new these tires were amazing. They handled very precisely and predictably. I had no qualms about taking 90 degree turns at 60 mph and feeling them slide out slightly, but in a very controlled manner. I could do the same thing in the rain at 45 mph with no problem. Hydroplaning on a straight line was something that I never ever worried about. Now, having 3 full seasons on them (but never driven in winter), they are at less than 40% tread and need to be replaced, if only for rainy days (I experienced serious rear hydroplaning in a recent rainstorm). They've stiffened up quite a bit (having been cooked on a few very high speed runs), and provide a very rough ride. I can feel every crack in the pavement. But for three years they gave me the best performance of any tire I've ever had. Not to mention they're the sexiest tires on the planet. I would absolutely buy these again if they weren't so damned expensive. When I bought them they cost me $135 four years ago. Now they sell for double that. Since I don't plan to keep my car for much more than another year, I'll be looking at a cheaper replacement.
