This set of Alpin HPs was my second tires on this car after stock Good Year Wranglers, and before my third set from Latitude Alpins, and man, what an improvement after the Wranglers! No need to even compare those two, but just like my other set of Alpins after these HPs, I used the HPs year round as well, and I feel competent to compare Latitude Alpin and Alpin HP. Biggest difference was the treadwear, Alpin lasted definitely longer. HPs were almost like slicks and fronts had some partial deformations after 50,000 kms while Alpins still OK after 73,000 kms. Both tires have similar reactions on dry roads-only HPs tend to longer braking when asphalt is really hot in summer, Alpins perform as usual- snow performances similar too- meaning almost perfect for both. HPs show no lack of performance on wet surfaces while Alpins can be unsecure to corner and brake when it's raining. Which one would I choose for my next set? Probably neither and go with Latitude Tour this time, because I think I would still be fine with Jeep's 4wd on most snowy days, and have better wet grip and treadwear at the same time.
