One of the kumho tires I purchased split or tore as I was driving down the Interstate. According to the Manufacturers Warranty I am to present the tire to any authorized Kumho dealer to receive a credit toward a comparable new tire, pro-rated on warranted miles if it is unserviceable for any reason within the manufacturer's control, that being material workmanship or condition. At this point I do not know if it is a manufacturer's problem or improper mounting or balancing. I can tell you it was not improper use or operation. I have been driving for many years and have never seen a tire split in this manner. I don't use the tires anymore. I went to Martin Tire in El Paso Texas and they refused to give me a credit. They charged me $75 for a new tire.
