On aa advanced skills training day, one of the instructors ran up to check what tyres I had fitted as he was surprised at the way my bike handled and could stop in shorter distances than most of the other bikes. Using Metzler tyres on my bike gives me confidence whatever the weather. Too many other brands behave differently in the wet vs dry - it can be like having two different bikes on the same journey. You don't sacrifice longevity with the Metzler either, with 9-12,000 miles per set (15,000km+. That's better than some other brands.). Their latest compound seems to have gone back to what they used a few years ago and the grip quality has improved (it had been deteriating over the last couple of versions - still better than other makes, but not the same as they made 5-6 years ago. As I volunteer to deliver blood products, I'm out in all weathers, throughout the year, so the performance of my tyres is vitally important. the Meltzer's do deliver!

Due to Covid-19 not had a chance to do a real test. The commute to work has so far not thrown up any issues. When I purchased the bike it already had the Metzeler Roadtec Z6 tyres fitted, I did 11300km them, did not have any issues at all hence this purchase.

Due to Covid-19 not had a chance to do a real test. The commute to work has so far not thrown up any issues. When I purchased the bike it already had the Metzeler Roadtec Z6 tyres fitted, I did 11300km them, did not have any issues at all hence this purchase.

Among so many brand. I would say Roadtac 01 giving me the most confident especially on rainy day where roads are wet. even on a slight bending also good. Perhaps its due to its aqua cutting thread design.

These tyres are good to ride on & even work in the cold & wet pretty well, however they don't last. 5k miles from an expensive touring tyre is crap in my opinion. I get about 50% more mileage & the bike rides even better on Avon Storm 3DXM that I've swapped to since wearing this out. 6/10 - Must try harder Metzeler.

I would have given 10 out of 10 but this time the back tyre when got hot it felt like it was greecey and when you had to stop is felt like it wanted to slide I've always purchased this type make mitchell 2tc and i could not get a cheaper deal with the company. So next time I'll be looking around at your competitors I spoke to your department and I was informed. The price only drops when people purchase the tyres.

Superb grip in all conditions and very predictable handling. Only negative is tyre life I'm near the wear limit with just under 4000 miles covered. Wear has been fairly even across the tyre though.

Took a while to get used to them and had to change suspension settings to get a smoother transition from upright to lean. Good lean angles can be obtained. Slight tendency to push the front at decent lean angles but does give feedback when this happens.

I would have given 10 out of 10 but this time the back tyre when got hot it felt like it was greecey and when you had to stop is felt like it wanted to slide I've always purchased this type make mitchell 2tc and i could not get a cheaper deal with the company. So next time I'll be looking around at your competitors I spoke to your department and I was informed. The price only drops when people purchase the tyres.

Superb grip in all conditions and very predictable handling. Only negative is tyre life I'm near the wear limit with just under 4000 miles covered. Wear has been fairly even across the tyre though.

Fitted Pilot Road 4s almost a year ago now and have done a lot of touring and commuting on them in all seasons. They've never let me down. Feel significantly more nimble than the previous Metzlers, dropping in quicker and almost popping from leaning one way to the other. Though to be fair the flat spot in the old ones probably made them feel worse than they would have done new.
